I found a remnant pile of grey, lilac and cream fabric pieces..
This initial piece was intended to be an experiment to see how the colors worked together. I chose a simple, random strip pattern.
Very soothing, so I topstitched them to give the piece some depth..
With the shorter remnants one of my students made a zippered pouch.
She boxed the bottom so that it would stand up.
Then I decided to make an art piece of the strips that were left.
Deep within the winter forest
among the snowdrift wide
You can find a magic place
where all the fairies hide
