Super Nova Star - Wave Landscape Patchwork Technique

Updated: May 2

I did it

I started working on this piece about 2 weeks ago. Everything flowed smoothly. From creating my sketch of what I had seen, to finding the colors that I wanted in my scrap fabric supply and even the initial sewing of the pieces ran smoothly.

And then out of the blue, I became stuck on the technique, I couldn't envision how to sew the star, and couldn't move forward with it to create the vision that I had seen.

I had almost made the decision to cut the piece into a number of smaller pieces and use them to sew pillows or bags. I told myself to wait another day and to sleep on it.

That always does it. I woke up the next day wtih 3 different ideas for a technique for working on the star. And yes it is even possible to teach how I did it. I am working on quilting and then binding ths piece.

I have already chosen the fabrics for the sample piece for my video and tutorial that I will be creating. That is my project for next week so follow to see what I do.
