Sunset Wave Landscape Mini Quilt

Writer: Sharon PriganSharon Prigan

My student created a sunset wave landscape mini quilt this week.

This time I did hide my fabrics that I had planned to use for a wave landscape sunset piece. This student always wants to use the fabrics that I have chosen.

She came to class and asked where the sunset pile of fabric strips is. I said what sunset fabrics? She told me that her mother follows my facebook page and she always looks over her mothers shoulder when she is scrolling and she had seen my pile of fabrics in one of the posts that I had written.

I told her they are for my sunset. Her answer was that she had counted the strips and there were enough there for both of us!!!

After taking a deep breathe I actually found her enthusiasm funny and decided to let her take some of the strips for her mini quilt.

This is what she created and yes there are enough pieces for my quilt as well.

Also lots of remnants left over for a small scrap quilt that she is going to sew. That was my condition, she could take fabrics from me but also has to learn the ScrapFabric technique to create another mini quilt. That is next week's project.
