Choosing Colors

I colored the first version of the sketch of my next technique. I wasn't happy with the end result. It didn't turn out as I had "seen" it. So I put it aside and went to sleep.

This morning I woke up and decided to color in the second sketch for the technique.

I spent a while choosing colors and creating a "swatch"

and began to work.

These were the pencil crayons that I chose

Now I need to sharpen the colored pencils

It turned out exactly as I had envisioned.

And then I went to search for fabrics in my supplies.

I found all the colors that I had envisioned!

Now I know why the previous version didn't work out as I had seen it.

I don't have all the fabric colors that I saw. So I was being guided.

Next up I have to measure and cut the fabrics for the sewing.
