A Bead a Day

The studio has finally moved and I have begun creating again but not everything is set up. I have that Wave Whirlpool tutorial that I am working on but I have to take my sewing machine outside to work at the moment so it will be on hold for a week or two.

In the meantime I am sorting boxes and arranging things in the studio.

One of the boxes I came across was a fabric beads box.

Another was a box with supplies that I had put aside for creating more fabric beads. Fabric scraps and vintage sewing threads which are only good for handsewing.

So I decided that while I am working on setting the studio up again I will create fabric beads, a bead a day. I have 2 boxes which can be taken anywhere and because the beads are completely handsewn I can create anywhere.

I chose a selection of thread colors from the pile of threads

And some fabric strips

and created my first beads of the day

And a round scrap fabric bead

I will be creating a different bead or 2 every day. It is therapautic and meditative to create them.
